He was born to William and Marie (Roudybush) on August 28, 1925, in Marysville, Kansas. He is survived by three children: Terry Inness (Vickie), Linda Jane (Acey), and Becky Inness. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. He wasceded in death by his wife and best friend Lelia Lee, son Donnie, parents, 2 brothers, and a sister. Wayne was a veteran of WWII as a member of the United States Navy, Fireman 1st Class, and was the recipient of several medals. He grew up in Oakdale, Nebraska, where he met the love of his life, Lee, whom he was married to for almost 71 years, and together they had 4 children. In 1974, he started L&W Garbage and was the proud owner and operator of the family business. He loved his customers, and the years he was active on the route, he knew every customer by name. He cared about providing everyone with immeasurable service and earned the reputation of being a man of his word. He passionately loved his family and was an example of hard work, dedication, and loyalty.At the age of 80, Wayne made the decision to be baptized, and he enjoyed the fellowship of Community Harvest Church. Whether he was doing business at the bank or grocery shopping, he was well known and well-liked by many. He had the knack of making everyone feel special and acknowledged everyone he came in contact with.He was a man who loved hunting and fishing and taught his kids and many of his grandchildren the love of fishing. He would often talk about starting a free program for kids because he believed if they took up the hobby of fishing, they’d stay out of trouble.Wayne was loved and will be greatly missed by many and was a man who spread love and joy. He and his faithful canine companion, BeBe, went on a final family vacation in June where he fished out of a kayak for the first time. Moral of this fisherman’s story is – Enjoy life and keep your lines wet until the end. Please dress in patriotic colors at his celebration of life. Cremation/no visitation.
