Vaunceil “Ceil” C. Lang, 96, of Lincoln, NE, passed away February 20, 2024. She was born at Omaha Maternity Hospital, June 28, 1927 to Peter E. and Milda (Jacobsen) Mueller.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward E. Taylor, husband, William L. Lang, and son, Edward E. Taylor, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Larry P. Taylor, of Laurie, MO and Kurt (Dee) A. Lang, of Lincoln, NE; granddaughter, Beth Taylor, of San Diego, CA and Ashleigh Lang, of Lincoln, NE.
Ceil attended Field Club Elementary School and Central High School in Omaha, class of 1945.
She was active in women’s groups at Kountze Evangelical Lutheran Church. She moved to Lincoln in 1958. She was a life member of the Pink Ladies at General Hospital in Lincoln, and Does and Elks.
She worked for Sun Newspaper as an entertainment reporter and in sales, also as an outside travel agent and traveled all over the world. She volunteered for Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska and was a board president.
Private burial at Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
