Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.  Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

 Obituary Post Date:

Terry Lee Rahe, 56, of Lincoln, NE, September 4, 1966-August 21, 2023.

In Loving Memory of Terry Rahe.

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved brother Terry, who departed from this world on August 21, 2023. Terry leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, a passion for sprint car racing, and a deep love for Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Born on September 4, 1966, Terry graced our lives with his infectious spirit and boundless enthusiasm. From a young age, you could find Terry at the race tracks, fishing, working in Dad’s salvage yard, working on cars, and having a good time with family and friends. His laugh was infectious with countless moments of joy.

When Terry wasn’t reading his treasured bible in the past year, he could be found indulging in his two great passions: sprint car racing and the roar of Harley Davidson engines. The racetrack was a place of pure happiness for him with countless memories. Amidst the exhilarating world of sprint car racing, Terry found a kindred spirit in his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Beyond his passions, Terry was a cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and confidant. His smile and warm heart were just two of his great qualities. His memory will forever remind us to approach life with all of its challenges with courage and faith. Terry is survived by his mother, Bonnie Hartwig; sisters, Sheryl Yost (Larry Yost) & Melissa Roselli (Anthony Roselli, Sr.); nephews, Adam Yost, Anthony Roselli, Jr., and Enzo Roselli; friend, Terri Schulz; and his beloved Great-Dane, Moose. Preceded in death by his father, Willard Rahe and grandparents.

As we mourn the loss of Terry, let us remember the laughter he shared, the faith he instilled, and the love he radiated.

Terry’s visitation and funeral will be held on Monday, August 28th at Oak Lake Evangelical Free Church, 3300 N. 1st #3203, Lincoln. Visitation at 10am with funeral service at 11am. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be sent to Sheryl Yost at 606 N. 29th St, Ashland NE 68003.

Terry may have embarked on his final journey, but his spirit will forever race on and ride free in our hearts. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in his remarkable journey.

Rest in peace, dear Terry. Until we meet again on that eternal racetrack in the sky.
