Susan L. Brouillette (Paro), age 74, entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2021 at Lancaster Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE. She was born September 3, 1946 in Grand Island, NE. Susan moved around in her youth, but graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, NE. As an adult, she lived in rural Bradshaw with her husband at the time. During these years she won many trophies showing horses. Eventually, Susan and her family moved back to Lincoln, and she became a Secretary for the International Programs office at the University of Nebraska. In May of 1998, she was a recipient of the NU Board of Regents Kudos Award for outstanding service to the University. Susan loved all types of music, sci-fi and horror novels and movies, Coca-Cola, chocolate, dragons, her many cats, her two daughters, and her grandchildren She is survived by daughters, Sherri (Anthony Roberts) Brouillette of Lakewood, CO, Melissa Buckman of Lincoln4 grandchildren, Trey Brouillette, Kenyon Buckman, Keyshon Buckman, and Sydnee Buckman2 great grandchildren, Kaydyn Brouillette, and Silvanus Brouillettesister Kendra (Kermit) Ekstrumand brother Kurt (Ana) Paro. She wasceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Vivian (Bauer) Paro. Services will be held at First Christian Church, 430 S. 16th St., Lincoln, NE 68508, on Friday, July 16, 2021, viewing 12 pm, services 1 pm, followed by reception, and interment 3 pm at Yankee Hill Cemetery Memorials may be sent to First Christian Church between the hours of 8:30 am ndash2:30 pm
