Sheryl Kay Schuster, 60, of Lincoln, NE, passed away March 14, 2024. She was born May 13, 1963 in Hastings, NE to Gary DeVaney and Joan (Purvis) Willett. She married Douglas Schuster June 12, 1982, together they had daughter, Shawna (Bonenberger) March 16, 1983, and moved to Lincoln in 1986, and had daughter, Stephanie (deceased) February 18, 1988.  Sheryl considered herself a “jack of all trades!” She had an in-home daycare, cleaned houses, para at St. John’s Catholic School, kitchen manager at Hidden Valley Golf Course, and helped her brother-in-law open Doozy’s sandwich shop.  She was a very creative and talented person helping with many parties and showers over the years. Sheryl was a member of Hidden Valley Golf Course where she played in leagues and tournaments and met so many lifelong friends.  Grammie to 3 grandchildren, Brody, Ellie and Barrett Bonenberger who brought her so much joy! 

She is survived by her husband, Doug, of Lincoln, NE; her daughter, Shawna, of Lincoln, NE; son-in-law Rob; Grandchildren Brody, Ellie and Barrett; mother, Joan Willett, of Cape Coral, FL; father, Gary DeVaney, of Hastings, NE; brothers, Mike (Karla), Tom (Connie) and Jon (Elfi); sister, Shelly; mother-in-law, Darlene Schuster, of Sterling, NE; in-laws, Davy (Rita), Dennis (Cindy), Donavon (Cindy); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Ann Schuster, step-father, Richard Willett, and father-in-law, David Schuster

Tuesday April 2, 2024: St. John’s Catholic Church 7601 Vine St., Lincoln, NE 68505, Rosary 10am, Funeral 10:30am,

Celebration of Life at Hidden Valley Golf Course 10501 Pine Lake Rd. Lincoln, NE 68526, 12pm-3pm.

In lieu of flowers a monetary donation towards medical bills would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
