Russell Vernon Ratzlow, 62, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday December 22, 2018. He was born June 19, 1956 in Borger, Texas. Russ received his undergraduate degree from Texas AM and law degree from the University of Texas.He is survived by his wife, Dianna K. Ratzlow, step children, Bret Dahlgren, of Lincoln, Alisha (William) Taylor, of Lincoln, sister, Janis (Brian) Taylor, of Sugarland, Texas, brother-in-law, Steve Schneider, of Omaha, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, many friends, coworkers at Lincoln Race Course, and “bridge buddies”. Special Thanks to Bryan Heart Specialists for their care.Preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel245 N. 27th Street, Lincoln, Ne.Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.Cremation no visitation.
