It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rita Rae Bobzien of Lincoln, NE, who left us on September 6th at the age of 64. Born on July 20th, 1961, in Primghar, Iowa to Ruth Warnke.
Rita was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, she enjoyed watching and yelling at her “boys” playing football. Rita loved traveling and creating new memories with family and friends. She was a fun compassionate mother, grandma, great grandmother and aunt who loved her family fiercely. Thoughts and prayers to your you and your family. Sorry for your loss.
When I think of Ruta the term “un” comes to my mind. She was UNafraid of taking life by the horns. Often speaking her kind and never accepting defeat. If you told her she couldnt, then dammit she would! Just to prove to everyone else (and herself) she could.
She was UNapologetically beautiful and true to herself. She was who she was, whether you liked her or not. She marched to the beat of her own drum, with her head held high!
Most of all she was UNderstanding. That woman would give her last penny away if it meant it could help some one else. She understood the struggle and the grind of life. And no matter what ur background or which walk of life someone might have been down. She understood what it meant to be a friend. And for these reasons (and so many more) im truly sad to know you’re gone. But truly glad and grateful to have known you. And that the time I got to spend with you,… I will always cherish those memories! Goodbye and until I see ya on the other side buddy. GO COWBOYS!!!!
R.I.P. my friend may your troubles pass you
I liked Rita. I miss Rita. My first thought of her was the several times she had dinner at our house. She never turned down ice cream because that filled in all the cracks.
