Noma Vivian Barber, age 90, passed away on Friday, March 15th, 2019 at her home in Lincoln, NebraskaNoma was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Patrick and Viola Pruett on December 7th, 1928. She married David Barber and they had 5 children. She was a loving mother and made sure her children knew the importance of God.She was a living example of true compassion and always put others before herself. Bowling with her husband was one of her favorite pastimes for over forty years. In her later years, Noma was very fond of quilting, and she handstitched many beautifubroided towels and quilts for her family and friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Noma isceded in death by her spouse, David Barber, and her son, Virgil Barber. She is survived by her son, Victor Barber, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Barberdaughter, Peggy Tennant, and son-in-law Ed Tennantson, Steven Barberson, Kirk Barber and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Barbernumerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Public visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Metcalf Funeral Home 245 N 27th Street, Lincoln, Ne Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery 8400 Adams Street, Lincoln, Ne Memorials may be given to the family for future designation
