Neva Petty-Weston, 86, of Lincoln, NE passed away on June 28, 2026. She was born April 22, 1940, in Bourbon, MS to her parents, George Petty and Margie McFarland.
Neva, known to most as “RED”, accepted Christ at a young age. Neva went on to travel the world. She loved singing in bands and dancing. Neva loved to cook and watch WWE. She enjoyed listening to Johnny Taylor and Buddy Guy. Neva found her husband, Sylvester Cromartie in New Orleans, LA and they were married on May 1,1976 in New Orleans. Neva lost her husband September 16, 2023.
Neva made her departure and now resides in heaven with her husband, Sylvester Cromartie and her parents, George Petty and Margie McFarland.
Neva leaves to cherish in her memory 4 daughters, Vinita Eichelberger, Neva Weston, Patrica Weston (Charles) and Cromartie Weston (Charles West); 11 grandchildren, Lashawn, Temeko (Amora), Dalvin, Sharnice, Angel, Nichole, Travis, Kelley, Charles, Samarja and Aliyana; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Logan and Maggie McFarland; one brother, Alfonzia McFarland; one niece, Yolanda Floyd (Veronica Brown); two nephews, Dewayne Logan and Antowain McFarland; one Godsister, Lillie Bell; and a host of friends
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
