Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.  Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

 Obituary Post Date: 

Mark Alan Neukirch, 54, of Omaha, NE, passed away April 19, 2026. He was born April 14, 1972 in Nebraska City, NE to Gary and Debra (Johnson) Neukirch.

Mark worked as an electrician for several years, he later got his CDL and became an over the road truck driver. He was known for his outgoing personality and sense of humor. 

He loved to spend his free time fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Mostly, he loved being a “papa” to his two granddaughters. 

He is survived by his partner, Rebecca Mains; daughters, Elizabeth Miller, Tiffany (Colin) VanGroningen and Brittany Neukirch; son, Nathen Neukirch; grandchildren, Mila and Launa VanGroningen; along with his parents Gary and Debra.

Preceded in death by his wife, Angela Neukirch and brother, Craig.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the family to assist with memorial expenses. Any additional funds received will be donated to the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center for CJD Research.
