Kurtis Kevin Kruse, 62, passed away on February 15, 2021 at The Monarch in Lincoln, NE. He was born December 26, 1958 in Norfolk, NE, to Marvin Kruse and Henrietta Heller. His family moved to Lincoln in his childhood where he attended Calvert Elementary School, Pound Middle School, and Lincoln Southeast High School, graduating in 1977. Loyalty and service were defining factors in his life. Kurt worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at Spectronics Corporation for over 30 years. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross First Aid Team and recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2012. He was a dedicated leader for the Boy Scouts of America with Troop 30 and at Camp Cornhusker in many different capacities. He also was a member of the Medical Reserve Corps, a Storm Spotter with Skywarn, and awarded the Citizenrsquo s Lifesaving Award from the Lincoln Police Department in 2019. He is survived by his sister, Kimberly Kruse, of Fremont, CAson, Jacob (Karla) Kruse, of Lincoln, NEdaughter, Katherine Kruse, of Omaha, NEand grandson, Jack Kurtis Kruse. He wasceded in death by his parents.There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials include Camp Cornhusker or American Red Cross.
