Kathleen Marie Beatty of Lincoln, NE (formerly Auburn and Howe, NE) passed away on October 12th at Gateway Vista in Lincoln.
Kathy was born in Nebraskka City, Nebraska on August 24th, 1951 to Albert (Whitey) Dishong and Delores Dishong (Delozier) She graduated from Auburn High School in 1969.
Kathy married Rex Beatty from Peru on February 20, 1973. They welcomed and raised two sons, Dave and Jeff. The family spent time together fishing and taking vacations across the United States. Kathy loved her yearly trip to the War Eagle Fair in Arkansas with her mother, sisters, and niece.
Kathy loved to cook and her pumpkin bars and Butterfinger desserts were absolute favorites at family gatherings.
Kathy worked for many years at Triangle Pacific in Auburn. She retired in 2008 and often helped Rex manage apartments in Peru.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, her parents, Albert and Delores, and by her sister, Sharon. She is survived by her sons, Dave (Abby) Beatty of Lincoln, NE and Jeff (Deanna) Beatty of Auburn, NE, her sister Deb (Scott) Coatney of Peru, NE, and her brother Robert (Monica) Dishong of Falls City, NE, and her grandchildren Evan, Kyle, and Brett. She is remembered with love by many cousins, nephews, nieces and great grandchildren.
Kathy’s kindness and laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
It was Kathy’s wish to be cremated and her ashes interred in a special location of her choice by her immediate family. Condolence cards can be sent to the Beatty Family at 1219 Aberdeen Ave, Lincoln NE 68512
