Joyce Marjorie Pierce, 85, of Lincoln, passed away February 7, 2022 with her family by her side in Lincoln, NE She was born on May 25, 1936, in Chicago, IL, to William and Marjorie (Penney) McIntyre. Joyce married Robert ldquo BobrdquoPierce on August 8, 1959 after meeting him at Millikin University (Decatur, IL) in 1958 They would be married for 56 years They lived in Norfolk, NE, and Kearney, MO She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority Joyce was an elementary school teacher, teaching-school, Third Grade and Fifth Grade After retirement she ran a daycare at their home in Missouri Joyce loved making ceramics and was an avid bird watcher She loved dogs and always had two or more in the household. Survived by her only child, Michele ldquo ShellyrdquoL. (Jess) Jonesthree grandchildren, Jamie L. (Joe) Spooner, Justin L. (Sami) Jones, and Jennifer L. Jonesbrother Thomas McIntyre.ceded in death by parents and husband, Robert ldquo Bobrdquo A private scattering of ashes with the family at her favorite place will occur in the spring.
