John (Zim) Harold Zimmerle, 69, passed away at Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln, NE on Sunday, September 11, 2022. He was born July 17, 1953 in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Harold and Hilda (Everts) Zimmerle.John graduated from Lake View-Auburn High School, Class of 1971. Following graduation, he went on to Willmar Vocational School in Willmar, Minnesota for Culinary Arts, where he found the love of his life, Helen Julianna Henrich. They later married March 24, 1973 and had three children, Misty, Stephanie, and Joseph.Zim worked at Kawasaki in Lincoln for 30 years as a welder. He also worked at Best Buy in Lincoln for 30 years, before retiring.Zim is survived by his wife Helen (Henrich) Zimmerle. Son, Joseph Zimmerle of Lincoln, NE and his wife, Stacey and their children, Hannah and Carter. Daughter, Stephanie (Zimmerle) Randal and her daughters Elizabeth and Cortney. Daughter, Misty (Zimmerle) Hollinger of Los Angeles, CA and her sons, Matthew, Michael Jr., and Marcus. Sister, Liesa (Zimmerle) Engel and her life partner Christopher E. Westrom. Sister, Donna (Zimmerle) Britcher and her husband Jeff Sister, Luwana (Zimmerle) Jackson Along with many nieces and nephews.He wasceded in death by his parents Harold Zimmerle and Hilda (Everts) Zimmerle. And his brother-in-law John Jackson.Zim loved to travel on his Harley-Davidson and was a member of the Harley Owners Group in Lincoln, NE. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending his grandchildren dir=RTLrsquo s games and programs, watching his favorite sports, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings, playing Sea of Thieves with his grandsons, and joking with everyone that crossed his path.There will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring.In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for future designation.
