Jody Lynn Lund, 56, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on January 2, 2026. She was born on December 6, 1969, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jody was the daughter of Jon (Mary) Lund and the late Bonnie J. Silvey.
She earned her GED and worked as a factory worker, where she developed many practical skills and formed lasting friendships. She was never married.
Jody was known for her generosity, her listening ear, and her unfaltering loyalty to those she loved. She had a way of making people feel heard and supported, offering steady presence and kindness without hesitation. Her care for others was sincere and enduring, and it shaped the lives of those around her.
She enjoyed crafting, movie nights, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children: Mikayla (Greg), with children Meredith, Amelia, and Vivian; Donald (Shantey) Diaz Jr., with children Savannah, Rezial, Nyvaeh, and Joseph; Bonnie Diaz; Paige Diaz, with children Melanie, Nova, and Topanga; and Jakson Lund.
Jody is also lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home, Lincoln, Nebraska. A gathering following the service will be announced at a later time.
