Gary Steven Shaw, 62, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025.
Gary was born October 26, 1962, in Lincoln, NE to Steven and Lois (Neubauer) Shaw. He grew up in the Lincoln/Waverly area. Gary was a collector and enjoyed many hours searching for items to add to his collection of antiques, brass and glassware. For many years, he was a member of the Lincoln West Optimist Club and served as the equipment manager for the Homer’s Heroes baseball organization. He enjoyed camping, fishing and Husker football.
Gary is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lois and Bruce Morrow, of Waverly, NE; stepmother, Connie Shaw, of Lincoln, NE; brother, Gregg (Kim Erickson), of Waverly, NE; sister, Stacy (Tom Callicoat); nephews, Zachary and Jaydon, all of Lincoln, NE; brother, Jesse; nephews, Liam and Luke, of Parker, CO; sister, Shellie (Ed) Sabata; nephew, Avery, all of Lincoln, NE; sister, Kelli (Brett) Vetter; niece, Elaina; nephew, Shane, all of Gretna, NE; aunts, Nancy Shaw, of Springfield, VA and Gail Rixstine, of Normal, IL; along with numerous cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Steven Shaw, grandparents, Donald and Marie Shaw, Roy and Helen, and niece, Felicia Sayers.
A Graveside Service and Burial will take place in Wymore Nebraska at a later date.
