Dolores “Dee” Mae (Wallace) Briggs, 82, of Lincoln, NE, May 14, 1940 – March 30, 2023.

 

Dolores “Dee” Mae (Wallace) Briggs, 82, of Lincoln, NE passed away March 30, 2023. She was born May 14, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK to Lee Mack Sr. and Lula Mae (Simms) Wallace.

 

Dolores attended school in Wellston, OK and Dunbar High School. She accepted Christ at an early age growing up in Wellston. She worked numerous years in the hospitality industry. Her last job was with Lincoln Public Schools.

 

She leaves to cherish in her memory her son, Theophilus “T.J.” Mathis, of Crete, NE; step-sons, Danny Ray (Audrey) Murray, of Lincoln, NE, Terry Briggs, of Beatrice, NE; daughter and son-in-law, Lois “Ree Ree” and Bryan Watson, of Lincoln, NE; her “basketball team” of grandsons, Isaiah Freeman, Theo Mathis, Elijah Watson, Thomas Mathis and Jonah Watson, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by both of her parents; siblings, Cora Mae Wallace, Sidney Vickers, Leon Wallace, Emmitt Wallace, Victoria Ealom, Lee Mack Wallace, Jr, Jimmy Wallace and Wilbert Wallace.

 

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Metcalf Funeral Home.

 

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, 245 N. 27th Street, Lincoln, NE.

 

Burial at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.
