Although I only knew Dee Ann through First Pres in Lincoln, I wanted to say she was such a friendly person and a true leader way back when our church combined its separate boards of “Men” and “Women” Deacons. As it’s moderator, she planned, negotiated, and led the women’s board right up to the final congregational vote to end this anachronism in our local church. And did it with grace and humor. Glad to have served with her in those days.
