Georgia Kroese (84) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 30, 2022Being the recipient of the distinguished Veterans Administration Service Award for 30 years of faithful service was one of her greatest accomplishments. She considered it an honor to care for US military personnel who sacrificially served their country. Her medical knowledge and dedication to the profession has inspired two more generations of nurses to follow in her footsteps Directly after retirement, she joined a parish nursing outreach program spearheaded at her local church. Over the next decade, she and her team of retired nurses visited elderly shut-ins in need of encouragement.Georgia was artistic and loved creative pursuits (i.e., painting, sketching, embroidery, crocheting, and knitting). She often gifted family members, friends, and charities with Afghans, sweaters, and other works of art. Her life experiences, love of reading, and dedication to life-long learning made it easy to connect with others around her. We will miss her kind-hearted nature & positive outlook on life! Georgia wasceded in death by her parents Anthony & Margaret Kroese, and is survived by sisters Ramona (James A) Rhodes, Lincoln, and Carolyn Dixon, Eden Prairie, Minnesota Memorial services will be held 2:00 pmFriday, February 4, at Panamasbyterian Church,205 Pine Street, Panama, NE.
