Wilma Kruger

Wilma Doris Kruger, 101, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away peacefully on May 14, 2018. She was born near McLean, NE on August 19, 1916 to William Edward and Martha Jane (Pickering) Niday. She married Alfred Frank Kruger on February 3, 1934.

She made her life with Alfred on the farm where they had one son.  She moved to Lincoln in 1990, after Alfred passed away.  She then devoted herself to her grandchildren.   Her son and his family always came first. She was a wonderful Mother & Grandmother.  

Wilma is survived by her son, Al Kruger, (wife Issara), granddaughters, Shelly Halstead (husband Danny), Gale Boerrigter (husband Steve), Suzie Hemenway (husband Ron), grandson Scott Kruger, great grandchildren, Carli Halstead, Sean Boerrigter, Jeremy Boerrigter, JJ Hemenway, Andrew Hemenway, Nick Hemenway, Mary Rice, and Mallorie Seivert, along with 8 great great grandchildren, & sisters, Twila Horn & Betty Patrum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Harold, Margie, Eunice, Gene, and Frank.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lancaster Rehabilitation Center, Jenny and the fabulous people at Hospice, her great roommate Kay, and the wonderful relatives and friends for all of their visits and very kind loving care.   They all can never be thanked enough.

As per Wilma’s wishes, a private family burial will be in Norfolk, Nebraska.  A celebration of life will be on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Jerry’s Hilltop Café at 86420 US-8, Randolph, NE  68771 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM for all family and friends.
