Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.  Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

Thomas H. Speth, 58, of Lincoln, June 4, 1961-January 9, 2020

Thomas H. Speth, 58, of Lincoln, passed away January 9, 2020 in his home.  He was born June 4, 1961, in Lincoln to Glen M. and Emma (Ackerman) Speth, both now deceased.  He is survived by brothers Fred & Curtis, sister Claudia & numerous other family members.  Tom was a 1979 graduate of Lincoln East High School & attended Southeast Community College.  He considered himself the epitome of the "American Working Man"--right down to his father's old lunch pail which he faithfully carried with him to his own jobs for many years.  Tom took great pride in working in a variety of blue-collar occupations throughout his life--to include welding, packaging, catering & a variety of temporary services positions.  For many years at family Thanksgiving gatherings Tom relished his role as the guy responsible for mashing the potatoes. He was a dog lover, enjoyed the outdoors, was very knowledgeable of firearms & marksmanship and was a supporter of the veterans community.  Tom kept to himself & absolutely hated it when people attempted to pry into his business.  So, as a faithful supporter of the Nebraska Lottery, Tom wasn't exactly thrilled when word got out about what he won on a scratch ticket a number of years ago.  Tom was a unique individual who will be truly missed.

 Cremation, no visitation.

Services to be held at a later date.
