James W. Vnuk, 57, of Lincoln, passed away April 13, 2018 in Lincoln. He was born February 22, 1961 in Omaha, NE to Dr. Wallace and Frances Vnuk. James is survived by sons, James Vnuk(Kellie) Omaha, NE; Dustin Vnuk ( fiancé, Whitney Nielsen) of Denver, CO; brothers John Vnuk( Dawn) and their three sons Jeremy, Jeffery and Jamison of Loveland, CO; Tom Vnuk( Leanna ) of Ft. Collins, CO. Jim lived in Denver, Colorado as a youth and it is here that his love for the outdoors blossomed. He carried that enthusiasm for outdoor living and experiences in his years lived in Nebraska. Jim carried that love for adventure throughout his life. Jim enjoyed the Rocky Mountains and all the beauty and adventure that he found in living and spending time in places that he held dear to his heart in Colorado. Jim graduated from Kearney High School class of 1979 and attended Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Jim found happiness in his time living and working in Breckenridge, Colorado. Jim was a gentle and kind soul. Everyone that ever worked or spent much time with him admired his irreverent sense of humor and forgiving nature. He was a loyal friend and loving father who took great pleasure and pride in his sons’ academic and leisure pursuits. Jim loved riding his motorcycle and having every new and awesome gadget to support his riding experience. Jim had a particular love for University of Nebraska Women’s Volley Ball.

A Memorial Service will be held at a date yet to be determined to accommodate Jim’s friends and family.

Memorials may be given to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
