Helen Lorraine Troudt, 78, of Lincoln, formerly of York, December 3, 1942-August, 16, 2021

Helen Lorraine Troudt, 78, of Lincoln, passed away August 16, 2021. She was born December 3, 1942 in Chadron, Nebraska to Barnie and Olive Mae (Grey/Schramn) Williams.

 

On August 1, 1958, Lorraine married William “Bill” Troudt in Texas, and eventually moved to York, Nebraska where she lived most of her life. Lorraine loved her life in York with her husband and children.

 

Once the children had grown, and after the passing of her husband, Bill, Lorraine worked as a caregiver at Martin Luther Homes, in York for several years. She also took care of her mother, Olive, for her final 3 years of life. Taking care of people was Lorraine’s specialty and she was gifted at helping those with special needs.

 

 Lorraine had a passion for collecting and repairing antique dolls and was known for her fine jewelry collection, which she loved and cherished. All of her jewelry was displayed on hooks around her room at the Ambassador, often becoming a frequently visited attraction. 

 

Lorraine is survived by her son, Chad Troudt, of York. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughters, Mary Beth Troudt and Cindy Drake; infants, Rebekah Lea and William Tyler.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 806 N. Beaver Ave, York, Nebraska


Inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery, York, Nebraska.


Cremation, no visitation.
