Gayle A. Sutter, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on August 18, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1954, in Columbus, NE to Bernard and Dorothy (Hayes) Cuba.
In her life, Gayle was an avid animal lover, gardener, and enjoyed nature.
Family members include her husband Clyde “Rusty”, children, Melissa (Mike) Ripley and Matthew Sutter, grandchildren, Raymond Sutter and Henry Sutter, and her dog Star.
Preceded in death by her parents, infant son, David Christopher Sutter, and her dog Gus.
Memorials may be directed to the Capital Humane Society.

Gayle was a very nice person and I liked her very much! My condolences to Clyde and the rest of the family! I will miss her!
Gayle was a great person to work with at Calvert Elementary in the 70s. She cared for all students and staff and was willing to assist in any way possible to help children learn.
So glad that we were able to reconnect after graduating from high school. I enjoyed our convo’s via Facebook. Rest in peace my friend.
We were a tribe at North Star for so, so many years. I was thinking of Gayle the other day while out walking and enjoying everything nature offers. I to have been blessed to know Gayles daughter and see the same carring soul. With empathy, compassion and true caring about others being passed from Mother to Daughter.
