Terry Allen Valenta, 53, of Ashland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 26, 2017. He was born on December 23, 1963 to Fred and Ruby Valenta. He graduated from Southeast High school in 1982, and joined the Air National Guard after graduation and served our country for 26 years. In 1997 he was employed by Voss Lighting where he had just celebrated his 20th year with the company. He also often worked alongside his dad cooking at Fred and Ruby’s at Parkway Lanes. Terry married Carissa Dueck on May 2, 1998 in Lincoln. They moved to Grand Rapids, MI shortly after where they lived and served together for 10 years before moving to Ashland, NE. Terry and Carissa were blessed with four children: Ainsley, Deacon, Given and Sullivan. Terry enjoyed watching cooking shows, grocery shopping, listening to sermons and hymns whenever he could. He especially loved spending time with his family and he was an amazing caregiver to Carissa and the kids. One of his favorite hymn was One Day.
Jessie Jeannette Nickeson, 99, died September 24, 2017 at her home in Savannah Pines in Lincoln. Born on September 5, 1918 in Leshara, NE to Jesse Alfred Sutton and Marjorie Elizabeth Esty, a direct descendant of Mary Towne Esty of Salem, Massachusetts.
Rolland “Rollie” Dale TerMaat, 68, of Lincoln, passed away September 19, 2017. Born May 6, 1949 in Lincoln, NE. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Henrietta (Buis) TerMaat. Survived by brother Duane (Betty) TerMaat, children Jennifer (Randy) McLain, Julia (O’Dhaniel Mullette-Gillman) TerMaat, and Joel (Amelita) TerMaat, and five grandchildren.
Jerry W. Bickford, 74, of Lincoln, died 9/3/17. He was born 8/10/1943 in Hamilton County, NE to Leo and Eileen (Lemmon) Bickford. He was a retired Meat Manager and Save Mart for 25 years. Member of Immanuel Church.
Family includes wife, Jackie; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Hughes, Longwood, FL; Angela and Randy Welch, Hillsboro, KS; Katheryn and Steven Palmer, Lincoln; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Leona Copley, Lincoln; Cheryl Finch, Lincoln; Caroline Dixon, Coon Rapids, MN; Derald Bickford, Lincoln; Ricky Bickford, Lincoln; Rita Charles, Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
Debbie A. Tubbs, 52, of Lincoln, passed away 9/4/2017 in Lincoln. She was born 6/30/1965 in Lincoln to Ronald and Cozette (Close) Wallman.
Family includes husband, Mike; children, Cassandra (Dan) Staehr; Amanda (David) Perez; Brandon Tubbs, all of Lincoln; brother, Rusty Wallman, Odessa, MO; sister, Chris Wallman, Chestertown, MD; grandchildren, Audriana, Derek, Elena, Lucas and Karter.

Lynda Janelle Deaver, 55, Lincoln, passed away July 4, 2017. Born April 7, 1962 in Anaheim, California to John and Rosetta (Criss) VanRosendale. Manager of Arbys (14 yrs) and a daycare provider. She loved to cook, always watching the Food Network. She collected elephants (they always had to face toward the door). Lynda enjoyed the holidays, loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her door was always open for family and friends.
Pancho Andrew Castillo, 12, of Lincoln, passed away 6/24/17 in Omaha, NE.
Randy Howard Reeder, 58, Lincoln, passed away June 11, 2017. Born June 20, 1958 in Grand Island, NE to Eldon Arthur and Delores Patricia (Otto) Reeder. Owner of Reeder’s Sales & Service in Doniphan, NE. Randy previously had worked for Gessford Machine Shop and Friend’s Auto Supply in Hastings, Brown’s Motorworks in Grand Island, VC Howard in Pleasanton, Mid-Continent Race Track in Doniphan, and drove truck hauling cattle for several different owners. Randy built race car motors and raced with Rick and Rod Resh, Phil Kempf, Terry Moffett, Bobby Gregg and the Fegter family. He married Corrine Frentz in Hastings on September 3, 1977; divorced and remarried on February 4, 1995 at Dresbach’s in Grand Island. They had met at the Lexington Race Track where Cori was helping some friends in the pits. Randy was an EMT for Kearney and Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Dept. He served as Emergency Manager for Doniphan. He attended Central Community College in Grand Island and received his certificate in auto cad design. He enjoyed attending his son’s baseball and basketball games, his grandsons sporting events, racing, fishing, NASCAR, a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan, and spending time with his grandchildren.
